‘Costate 23’ – obtained through genetic selection within the Pablo variety population.
Produces 10–12 inflorescences per stem, each with 5–6 fruits. Fruits are very large (average weight 380 g), with medium to strong ribbing near the stem end, without green shoulder at maturity, red in colour (RHS 53 C), firm-fleshed, and suitable for storage.
Ripening period: very late. Pleasant and balanced taste (average acidity 3.8 g/l malic acid; soluble solids 4.5%). High in antioxidants and organic-mineral nutrients. High plant productivity (over 4 kg per plant).
Shows tolerance to tomato-specific pests. Suitable for both fresh consumption and processing. Recommended for organic cultivation, in protected environments with staking/support systems.
