Costate 23 – cultivar obtained through genetic selection in the Pablo cultivar population
Plant characteristics:
– Indeterminate growth cultivar;
– Forms 10-12 inflorescences per stem, with 5-6 fruits on each truss;
Fruit characteristics:
– Very large fruit (average weight 380 g), presents medium to strong costation at the peduncle area, green cap absent at maturity, red in color (53 C), with firm pulp, pleasant and balanced taste (average acidity of 3.8% g/l malic acid and 4.5% soluble dry matter), with a rich content of antioxidants;
Ripening period:
– Ripening period is very late;
Average production:
– Cultivar with high productivity per plant, over 4 kg/plant;
Tolerance:
– Presents tolerance to harmful organisms specific to tomatoes;
– Resistant to Verticilium sp.;
– Resistant to storage;
– Recommended for classical or organic cultivation, in protected areas and with a training system;
Production direction:
– Suitable for fresh consumption and industrialization;
